Assignment Group - Ignore Member Availability
Members Availability
An enhancement named 'Ignore Member Availability' is available under the Members Availability section of Q-assign Assignment Group (in Q-assign Version 4.764 or later) as can be seen in the following screenshot.
Each user has a Q-assign Presence, and the Presence status indicates if user is Available or Unavailable to be considered for record assignment. This Ignore Member Availability setting determines whether to ignore the value of Q-assign Presence of each user when selecting which users/members to consider for assignment. There are three types of options you can select in this dropdown, which are explained below.
- No – Only members (users) with Q-assign Presence of "Available" are considered for assignment. This means that member's availability will not be ignored in this setting.
- Yes – The Q-assign Presence status of members (users) is completely ignored when selecting which members to consider for assignment in this Assignment Group. Therefore, users that have a Q-assign Presence of "Unavailable" or "available" can both get records assigned to them.
- Only when no members are available – If there is any member/s (users) of this Assignment Group with a Q-assign Presence of "Available", then only those "Available" members are considered for assignment, just like in the "No" option above. If it turns out that none of these "Available" members can get more records assigned to them, e.g. due to the quota reached, then the records will be assigned to "unavailable" Assignment Group members. If there are no members at all with a Q-assign Presence of "Available", then the Q-assign Presence status of members (users) is completely ignored when selecting which members to consider for assignment, just like for the "Yes" option above.
