The Assignment Group Test Drive allows Admins and Managers to simulate assignments directly from the Assignment Group (AG) page, helping them validate configuration behavior. This option is available in Q-assign version 4.899 and onwards.
A Test Drive button is available on the Assignment Group detail page.
Clicking Test Drive opens a component that allows you to run assignment simulations.
The interface provides two execution modes:
With Changes – Runs the test and applies assignment changes, i.e. updates the current record.
Without Changes – Runs the test without committing any changes
Its visibility is controlled by permissions and is available to users through:
Q-assign Admin access includes all permissions: Without Changes, With Changes
Q-assign Manager access includes: Without Changes and does not include: With Changes
