QA Presences and QA User Presences

Note: These objects are available for use in and after Q-assign version 4.841.

What are 'QA Presences' and 'QA User Presences'?

'QA Presences' and 'QA User Presences' are two new custom objects introduced in Q-assign to manage custom presences and their associations with users. Q-assign admins/managers can create presence records for their users and set a 'Default Availability' (Available or Unavailable) against each record. These presences will be available across the whole Q-assign app at all relevant places (such as QA User Status tab & Q-assign User Availability Component etc.) to set the presence where we already have an option to choose availability status.

What does the 'QA Presences' object do?

The 'QA Presences' object stores various custom presences that users can set. It includes fields such as:

• Owner ID: Unique identifier for the owner (User Lookup).
• Name: Name of the presence (e.g., "In Meeting", "Working Remotely").
• API Name: API Name of the presence
• Enabled: Indicates if the presence is currently active.
• Default Availability: Select between 'Available' and 'Unavailable'

How to create a custom QA Presence?

• Go to QA Presences tab from App Launcher
• Click New and fill in the required fields, as shown below:
  
• Click Save

What does the 'QA User Presences' object do?

QA User Presence record is created each time a user sets their presence in the QA User Status tab. The records can be accessed by creating a tab for QA User Presence object. They are useful to track the history of a user's presence within Q-assign. It includes fields such as:

• Presence: Presence Name
• Availability: The presence was set to 'Available' or 'Unavailable'
• Owner: Reference to the user.
• Presence Reverts At: Revert time of presence
• Presence To Revert To: Reference to the presence it will be reverted to
• User: User to whom the presence belongs
• Change Reason: Additional comments or notes related to the presence.

How to access a custom QA User Presence?

• Go to Setup - Tabs
• Create a New Tab with object 'QA User Presence'
• Search QA User Presence in App Launcher
• You will be able to access and see all the records created. You can add fields to list view for visibility, as shown below:
  
  
  
  You can create new QA User Presences from here as well, without going to QA User Status tab.
